Jay Clark, Senior Managing Director, is a Co-founder of FD Capital Advisors, LLC. He was previously a Managing Director with Navigant Capital Advisors, LLC, the Corporate Finance division of Navigant Consulting, Inc. (NCI:NYSE). Prior to Navigant Capital Advisors, Jay headed Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Capital for Synovus Investment Banking, a subsidiary of Synovus Financial Corporation (NYSE:SNV). Before Synovus, Jay was Managing Director of GMA Partners, Inc., a merchant banking firm; Partner and Senior Vice President of Legacy Securities, Inc., a boutique investment banking firm; and Director in the corporate finance group of KPMG Peat Marwick LLP where he was responsible for leveraged finance activities in the Southeast U.S. He has also served as an expert witness.
Jay began his career as a commercial lender at NCNB National Bank and has served on a number of corporate boards. He holds an MBA from the Goizueta School of Business at Emory University, and a BS in Finance (cum laude) from the University of Florida. He is an active member in the Association for Corporate Growth and frequently participates in industry events as both speaker and panelist on investment banking topics.
David V. Duke, Managing Director, is a Co-Founder of FD Capital Advisors, LLC. He was previously a Principal at Headwaters MB, a leading middle-market firm serving closely-held companies, financial sponsors, and public companies. At Headwaters he was member of the Industrials Group. Prior to his time at Headwaters, David was Vice President with Synovus Investment Banking, a subsidiary of Synovus Financial Corporation (NYSE: SNV). Before joining Synovus, he was Vice President of SunTrust Banks, where he advised middle-market businesses and business owners on various business succession and exit planning, estate and M&A issues. Previously, David ran his own corporate finance advisory firm, Vance Advisory. He also held various investment banking positions with EquiPlace Securities, GMA Partners, and Jacobs Capital, all Atlanta-based boutique investment and merchant banking firms.
David is a graduate of James Madison University and holds an MBA from the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh. He is also a Board member of the Atlanta Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth.
